# How to reset your password
## Forgot your password?
Here are the steps to reset your LifeSpeakpassword:
**Step 1: Visit LifeSpeak**
Go to **portal.lifespeak.com** or download the **LifeSpeak** app
**Step 2: Enter Your Username**
Type in your username and click **Next**.
**Step 3: Select “Forgot password?”**
Click the **Forgot password?** button located under the Password field.
**Step 4: Choose How to Receive Your Code**
Click **Send to Email** to receive a temporary access code via email.
If your phone number is linked to your account, you can also choose **Send to Phone**.
**Step 5: Don’t Close the Page**
Stay on the password reset page while you wait for your code to arrive. *You’ll need to enter the code here once you receive it.*
**Step 6: Check Your Email or Phone**
You’ll receive a **6-digit temporary access code**.
*Please allow a few minutes for the code to arrive.*
**Step 7: Enter the Code**
Type the code into the box and click **Continue**.
**Step 8: Set a New Password**
Enter your new password and click **Save new password**.
**Step 9: Confirmation**
You’ll receive an email confirming your password has been updated.
Click **Home** to return to the login screen and sign in with your new password.
